Since in was Strydom's birthday in July, I thought I would post a few pictures of what was going on in his life up untill now.. ...the big 18!.
Of course, the Birthday breakfast at Denny's....
And Sydney took him out to dinner that night. She had saved up doing babysitting and washing her parents' cars for weeks to get enough money ..
Then Niel took him for 18 rounds of indoor golf.....
This is Phoenix, remember? Playing golf outside in the sun in 118 degrees is no fun at all. Much nicer in an airconditioned building.
The snakes are growing very fast...for me, anyway..., and there are now four of them. He is researching on how to breed them to get a very rare white Ball Python, with a little bit of black.Apparently it is worth a lot of money.
Wrestling season came and went....and after dieting to lose weight to fall into a lower weight class, he is now eating like an elephant to "bulk up" again.
He is going to gym and working out, and I was informed that there is a "list" of food I needed to get, that he has to eat every day. Amongst which is a "steady supply of bananas..." lol
This is a Tv that the neighbors threw out on the curb...with the stand and everything.
You might not be able to tell from the picture, but it is HUGE...and HEAVY.
I was convinced that it wasn't working anymore. I mean, who throws out something like that if it still works? Strydom, true to his nature, would not accept this, and carried it all the way upstairs to his room, plugged it in, and...yes, it worked perfectly!
A few weeks later he bought a projector on Craigslist (where people sell their used stuff on-line),
and now he has the ultimate gaming centre in his room, and everybody wants to hang out there...
| This is not a good picture. The "screen" is bigger than this, and clearer" |
Strydom and Sydney, dressed 70's for Spirit week at school...
Yes...to my utter embarrasment I have to say he went in tights...with Danille's pajama trunks underneath it.

His welding project...a wine rack made out of horse shoes.
Art work from school...

I have said before that one of his classes in school this last semester was "cullinary", or like we knew it, "kookkuns".
I'm sure the girlfriend had something to do with this, but we reaped the benefits at least some times...
Here are some cute "food-art" that was part of the class, too.
And here I still thought it was rude to play with your food!
Well that's that for now, it seems!
Love
Suzanne
